Wood is a difficult material to reproduce, as it has a surface with a very varied texture, as well as a diversity of tones, glazes and colors. So we had to take it into account to be able to make a replica of a wooden sculpture of Saint Francis of Assisi.

The replica is made with resins, so we had to do a series of preliminary tests to get closer to the desired base color. It is very important to be able to achieve a reproduction of the sculpture with the appropriate color, since the rest of the work will be based on patina to simulate the transparencies and tones of the different areas.

Also note that the difference in weight between the replica and the original sculpture is less than 100gr.

We leave you, then, images of another replica of a wooden sculpture that we made.
